Soccer Co-Champions

Who would have thought that the Wilton U11 Gold Travel team would end up here.  After a good start, a decent middle and end of season saw us with a 3-3-2 record, backing into the playoffs.  4 team playoff in an 8 team league.  Saturday, in the cold twilight, we beat New Canaan in OT 2-1.  Trevor was in the goal and played well in the cold.  He only gave up a goal on a rebound on a penalty kick...which he did not know was a live ball.

Then in the final in a sunny chilly Sunday afternoon, our Wilton boys battled the undefeated, top-ranked Westport boys to a draw 0-0.  Trevor pitched a shutout in a great game, making some outstanding saves including a diving punch to his left as the final seconds of the first half wound down.  We held on and ended with the title co-champions.

We feel great for Trevor who improved in the goal with each game, and got more an more confident.  Coach Jimmy was tremendous with this good group of boys and it was a lot of fun.

Great Wolf Lodge

With no school on Monday leading into election day, we took a night at Great Wolf Lodge in Massachusetts.  Indoor water park fun for Sunday evening and most of Monday.  We had a great time, loved Otter Run (Avery's favorite); the Tornado (Daddy, Trevor's favorite -- exterior pictured below) and Wolf tail (scary!).  The all-family Alberta Falls (Mommy's favorite was a good one too.  Nice place, for 1 night.  Avery wants to go back for a week.

Ooooowwwwwww!  (Wolf Howl for many things, wave pool, wait staff in restaurant, good times).

Wilton Gold

Travel soccer for Trevor has been a lot of fun with a good coach and a good group.  Trevor has been the goalie for almost every game and done really well.  We made the playoffs, so on we go...

Cartwheels

Dozens and dozens of cartwheels lately.  Even right after a soccer game...

Avery reads!

And she is getting really good at it.

Halloween 2017!

In-town trick or treat on Saturday and then the real deal on Tuesday night.  We had a rubber chicken head and an emoji.

Easy Fall

We have been having some warm weather in October and November, making for some lovely days for outside play.  Daddy went to Colgate, we all went to Daddy's boss' place in the Catskills, and Trevor and Daddy camped out with the scouts.  Avery has had tons of fun, including a giant paper airplane flying session with Kendra and Leila.

Rec Basketball Coaching

Trev took the big whistle and coached 5/6 rec hoops again.  Great year, great run.
