The Duck-Billed Speed came up a little short in the standings (losing a wheel on the first two heats did not help). But it was a good looking purple racer.

Catamount Ski
Trevor got his first ski day of the year, Avery got her third as we met Uncle Mac and Sophia and other friends for a day of skiing! Warm Spring skiing is always fun.
Indoor Ropes Course
Daddy and the kids had a Saturday with a diner lunch, a college lacrosse game, and a trip to the world's largest indoor ropes course in New Haven. Thanks, "It."
Stormy Weather
Three storms in a row in early March produced three snow days, a foot of snow, a bunch of downed tree limbs, and a power outage. The power outage was minimal, but gave Daddy a reason to hook up the generator and confirm that it works! Tons of wet, heavy snow.

Light Blue Squirts
Trevor wrapped up a fantastic hockey season this weekend, losing a heartbreaking final to the rival Royal Blue. Our Light Blue squad went 16-1 on the season but got caught in the final 6-4. It was a tough way to end an otherwise successful and fun season. Trevor has improved greatly thanks to countless hours of knee hockey and watching NHL youtube videos. He is a better skater and hockey player, finishing the year with an unbelievable 19 goals and 6 assists -- numbers that would have seemed impossible just a few months ago. Proud of his progress and a great season!
Avery, March 2018
Avery is such a social, positive force. She loves her dog and her family and her friends and cannot do enough cart wheels and hand stands. Cannot do enough. She is reading more and more. She loves dance and gymnastics, and will play soccer and (really?) lacrosse this Spring.
Most of all, she is caring and kind, and very very fun.
After the fancy Daisy Tea dance, dressed in her finest, she stopped in the rainy parking lot to save a large worm from certain death. Not a problem to grab a 6 inch worm and put him in the dirt off to the side of the lot -- while in shimmery dress.
During a blustery Nor'Easter, when Daddy came home from work early, she greets him at the door with "Daddy, come in, the weather is DESPERATE!" Who knows what that means, but it made perfect sense.
We love our Avery!

We headed South, which was lucky because the McLaurins did as well so we were all able to meet up for the Memorial Day Parade in Sharpsburg,...
