And for a final act of the summer, a few nights in VT with the McLaurins at a lake cabin in Ludlow. Beautiful setting, lots of fun in the water and in the house. A rigorous hike up White Rock Rec area and some good down time. Dad ran into a college friend by luck -- which was especially fantastic because the friend had a boat!
Avery loved book 1, and got to watch the movie with friends. And the friend's mom bought props...
For all of the challenges posed by 2020, there have been some bright spots. And going to Skaneateles TWICE in one summer is definitely one. Second trip to the Finger Lakes this summer, fleeing the power outage, working from Ben's porch, and fun times with the cousins (Camp Crawdad Grill) and Grandma. Awesome weather.
And a Niagara Falls trip tucked in there as well.
Fantastic trip to Bar Harbor. Stayed at the Harborside Inn. Ate lobster, hiked each day including Mt. Champlain, the Bowl (pond), Beehive and Sand Beach. Drove up Cadillac Mountain and hiked the Bubbles. And hiked Acadia Mountain. Beautiful and peaceful place and just what we needed to relax, have electricity and celebrate a birthday.
Trev took the big whistle and coached 5/6 rec hoops again. Great year, great run.
