5th grade and 8th grade -- both the top of the heap at their respective schools.
Masks still in effect but in-person learning, riding the bus, and looking forward to a great year! Trevor is a "WEB" leader, serving as an orientation leader and resource for a group of 6th graders, which is a great thing to do and he is enjoying it. Avery is happy with the teacher, looking forward to flute and school.
Dad installing new exterior lights. Had to move the electrical boxes up a few inches on either side of the front door -- bit of a project. Avery climbed the ladder and helped out.
Dad played tennis at 8AM, enjoyed a wonderful breakfast cooked by his children, and watched 4 hours of football. Capped it off with an outdoor dinner at Red Rooster -- which was great!
Football is back. 2 week pre-season and the beginning of the season jamboree. Played 3 mini games against Fairfield, Darien and Bridgeport. Trevor is back at center and doing great. Feels like fall.
The Jackson's took us out on their new boat. Dad, Trevor and Avery all jumped off "Chicken Rock" -- which was scary!
Emily, Trevor and Dad dashed to Albany to watch the PLL while Avery still at camp. Redwoods beat Chaos and Archers beat the Whips. Excellent event, Trevor hopped fences to beat security, and the lemonade came in large cups. Trev got some pics with some of his favorite guys from the Woods - Ryder and Perc.
While Avery was at camp, Trevor was invited to LBI for a week with the Buchichio's. Fantastic time running around with the kids and hanging in the beach. Restful week for Mom and Dad. One night we went to Brooklyn to talk the neighborhood and have dinner. Fun to return.
Avery FINALLY got to go to Camp Nelly Huckins in Freedom, NH after year+ of waiting due to COVID. She had a great 2 weeks in Cabin V, made some good friends and vows to go back again and again. Archery, swimming, fun sports and games and songs -- everything you want at camp.
Had a lovely evening on Jennings Beach in Fairfield. Lobster Rolls takeout and some frisbee!
Lots of lacrosse this Spring and Summer so ALL the sticks get a little rest in July and August...
Late July to Early August trip -- some chilly days and some rainy days but a great time in Skaneateles. Went to the Harriet Tubman house and some mini golf with Carson and Celia. Then lots of time at the Lot and at Ben's house. Big family dinner and corn hole tourney. Emily and Jeffey took the title! Amazing race events -- created by Trevor then created by Aunt Amy. Tubing and knee boarding, canoeing, and lots of good food and great people.
Trev took the big whistle and coached 5/6 rec hoops again. Great year, great run.
