Quogue for the Weekend
Up on a sunny Friday and out to LI for a relaxing weekend at the Wagshals. Lots of par 3 golf and time in the pool. Beautiful weekend!
July 4
Town fireworks. Staked out a spot early with the Sloughs and Fuscos. Sunny Day at the Lake Club then headed to the field for dinner and running around. Good All-American fun.
Eclipse, Tourney 2, Devens, MA
A former military base, Fort Devens, MA is now home to lots of youth sporting events and a few hotels and restaurants. The boys lost their first game but then rebounded with two convincing wins on Day 1. The whole family made the trip (Lyla and lot of other fun girls to hang with for Avery) and we stayed in the hotel and spent time with the team. Day 2 the boys had a good win in the quarters. Trevor played an incredible game in the semi's avenging the prior loss to Laxachusetts White 3-1. Great game. But we peaked there and were overmatched in the final by a silky Lax Black 2027AA team who took it to us 7-0. Runner-up finish is still pretty great for a 12-13 team field. Fun team and great time for Trevor.
Eclipse, Tourney 1: Champs!
Who can fix the headlight?
Answer: no human no matter how small the hands -- off to the dealership to replace the bulb. Huge bummer.
June 17, 2019, final day of school
Moving on from Cider Mill (Trevor) and Miller Driscoll (Avery). A blinding year of progress and good friends and activities. So lucky to have great teachers and schools.

Father's Day
Wonderful Father's Day with breakfast, some gifts, and the traditional mini golf match. Avery almost won the thing... But Mommy was not to be denied. We cooked dinner and watched some golf and Daddy feels very lucky indeed.
Friday Night Sleep Out
Avery has been asking for a backyard campout. For weeks. And weeks. We finally got it together and pulled it off. Beautiful night for it. Teddy joined us in the tent for quite a while and then went inside. In the morning we tried to catch breakfast but were not able to.
Trevor "Moving Up"
Trevor is on to Middlebrook and 6th grade after a successful 5th grade with Mrs. Didelot. He has matured and excelled academically and Cider Mill has been good to him. Lots of work to come and he is ready!
