Heat Wave

It has been unreasonably hot for the last few weeks. We decided to take matters into our own hands today and hooked up the fun new sprinkler. It was so much fun running through the grass and getting wet!

Vocab

On a weekend when we endured the LeBron media circus, my vocabulary continued to grow. I was playing with some sticks in the front yard, digging in the dirt. I wanted to show Daddy. So I said, "Daddy, come see my progress."

Daddy was impressed.

Heaven Sent

We had a jam-packed July 4 weekend. We went swimming at the Y in Wilton. We went to the Bronx Zoo with Elizabeth and Brigid. We went to the beach with a LOT of other people to celebrate Independence Day. We lit a few fireworks in the backyard. And we went to the pool in Scarsdale with Walker and Zakary.

We got a new beach umbrella and had a nice picnic on the beach in Westport (photos).

Busy times, but lots of summertime fun. If you spend more than half the day in your bathing suit, it is a good day!

Quogue 2010

Like last year, we had a blast at Elyssa and Lili's house at the beach in Quogue and Griffin and Sophia were there too!

We spent a lot of time in the pool, at the beach, and eating yummy food on the deck!

Boy in the Box

Is there anything better on God's green earth than a large cardboard box? In this game I was a package being delivered.

Father's Day

Celebrated Father's Day with a trip to the beach in Westport. It was a hot day, but we had fun making sand castles and hunting for shells. Mostly I asked for snacks and asked why the towel was getting full of sand. We forgot the camera, but Daddy had his cell phone camera/Our Trevor blog emergency kit in a pinch.

Later we had a yummy early dinner at the Little Pub, which we have been wanting to try!

Hagerstown

We went to see Gigi and Granddaddy in Hagerstown for a long weekend. Daddy went to his high school reunion (he said attendance was "sparse") but I had a ball!

My cousins Cole, Caroline and Chris came to the pool with Aunt Annie and I played and played with Gigi and Granddaddy. I wowed them with my vocab. I even took Granddaddy's face in my hands and asked if he had any popsicles when we were trying to mend a booboo. Lots and lots of singing too!

Shake and Shout at the Carnival!

Like last year, we had a great time at the Weston Memorial Day weekend carnival. Lots of fun rides on a beautiful sunny day. And after months of discussing Ferris Wheels, Trevor had his first ride(s) on one!
