Go Fish

Went to the Fishing Derby at the YMCA over the weekend.  We borrowed a spin rod from the Morris' and hit the open water of the pond.  After a half hour or so, a big rainbow hit Trev's line, took the worm and swallowed the hook.  Trev missed out on the trophy for biggest fish by 1/4 an inch.  His rainbow was 14 1/2 inches. We brought home filets.  Trev was most interested in the gutting process.  Nice looking fish!

Wilton Police Department

A winning prize from the CNSW auction in the fall, Trevor rode home from school last week (with pal David) in a Wilton Police car! Complete with flashing lights and LOUD siren. Fun stuff. The pictures reveal Trevor is skeptical of volunteering to ride in the back of the cop car. We are hoping this will be his only ride in the back of a Wilton police vehicle.

Easter in Hagerstown

Went to MD for a long weekend. Easter egg hunt at Fountainhead, Easter egg hunt at Gigi and Grandaddy's. Lots of fun with the cousins McLaurin...

Biking!

In March, we attached the training wheels and put on the new pads and helmet and hit the road (dead end road nearby - Tamarac). Trevor loves his bike! And is thankful for the pads when we take a little spill.

Yankee Cap

Baseball (and teeball) have started again!

Morning Nap?

Ever since our trip to NC last week, Avery has started to lose her morning nap. Which can lead to some tired and awkward moments during the day...

Brother and Sister

The relationship continues to flourish and evolve. But all signs point to a solid friendship - that will have many many iterations...

Nutty

Sometimes Avery seems a bit touched, or just really cute and silly. She likes to lean against things -- doors, walls, benches, couches, and rock back and forth. Maybe she has a back itch? She also likes to wear hats inside. Along with winter coats, necklaces and the occasional mitten. Inside.

Hilarious!

Books and books

Avery is fostering her own independent love of reading and books. She likes to get immersed.

They make great pets

Over February break, we were able to "host" the preschool gerbils at our house. Trevor and Avery were very excited to have Sesame Seed, Peapod, and Jasper in the living room (caged) for a week. Lots of fun feeding them and watching them nibble on cardboard.

Chefs

The play kitchen, still very popular...

Rec Basketball Coaching

Trev took the big whistle and coached 5/6 rec hoops again.  Great year, great run.
