Odyssey of the Mind
Trevor has been working for several months with his Odyssey of the Mind team. This is an exercise in problem solving skill development and working as a team. It has been a great program and Saturday May 18 was the CT finals. Different teams and age groups faced different problems and, as part of the competition, had to perform a play of their own making -- props, script, costumes, acting, and a working robot. Biggest element of Odyssey -- ZERO parental guidance or involvement. All the kids. So it was wonderful, Trevor was a dog. He represented the team later in the day in the closed-door "spontaneous" competition where they had to build a tower as a team with some objects.
Trevor's team, remarkably, came in first place out of 19 teams in his group. First place. They now have the opportunity to go to the Odyssey of the Mind World Championship at Michigan State University in May. Amazing achievement, great work, and really good resolve to stick with it.
Very proud.

St. Pat's
We build more and more elaborate leprechan traps each year, with little success. Those little buggers still turn the toilet water green, and leave Lucky Charms for breakfast. So really, just believe and no questions asked.
Snow Day
About a foot of snow fell in Wilton on Tuesday, closing school Tuesday and Wednesday. Trevor slept at Ray's and was gone for days. Avery had her first sleep over, hosting Kendra and Leila from next door.
Sophia's Party
Another fun cooking party to mark Sophia's birthday. Avery and Trevor were involved and had fun with the other kids in the competition. Impressive dinner spread from the three young teams.

Rangers Game
Well the Rangers did not play very well, and lost to the Capitals 4-1. But we had a great time! Trevor brought his sign "A Shutout for Hank" and Avery's sign "Ranger Danger." He got to go to the glass for warm-ups and got a puck from the Garden team. And then after the game, we got Zook's autograph -- saving the night!
