Rec League Hoops

Tevor is on the Red team and is having a blast.  Avery is on the Navy Blue team and Daddy gets to help coach.  Avery is playing great defense and can handle the ball well. 

Little helper

How good of a helper is Avery?  We've seen her shovel driveways, blow leaves, change headlights, and now -- in the dark of night, helping Daddy vacuum the cars!  Avery is a worker...

Hurlbutt School

Built in 1848, and the scene of annual field trips today, the Hurlbutt Schoolhouse got a visit from Avery's class.  The outhouse was noteworthy, as was the corporal punishment stories.  They got to write on slates, and with quills, and had to stand when speaking.  Fun day!

Middlebrook Concert

6th grade chorus (directly over conductor's head) and band concert (third trumpet), and stage crew.  Gets you in the Christmas spirit!

Hat Trick

House league hockey in Stamford with the Darien Youth Hockey Assoc. has been a huge step up in level of instruction and organization.  Trev is having fun.  Wish we had at least one friend along for the ride, but he is meeting some kids and enjoying the new rink.

Trev's coach has challenged the boys to do 1500 reps on the wall each week.  That's a pretty big number, but Trev is doing the reps.

Thanksgiving Birthday

Historic Turkey Trot where Trevor legitimately beat Daddy.  Then we deep fried the bird for the first time and hosted Gigi and Granddaddy, Aunt Jeanne, Uncle Mac, Griffin and Sophia.  Such a fun time!  And then we celebrated Avery turning 9 -- and Aunt Jeanne hitting the big 5-0.
